Control Room / Mobile Response Team Leader (Operational Support Team)

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Control Room Operator / Mobile Response Team Leader working as part of our Operational Support Team. You will be work within our Control Room based in Barnsley, be part of the Mobile and Response Network with occasional site work. Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, you will work as part of a tight-knit and multi-skilled team overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business and providing support and monitoring to our out-of-hours teams.

The role offers excellent opportunities for development and progression, and the successful candidate will undergo full training prior to undertaking the role.

Role Details:

Hours available: 48  

Shift Pattern: Nights, Days and Weekends as scheduled. Flexibility is required for the role.

Remuneration: Up to £9.00 per hour dependent on experience

Role Requirements: Full Clean Driving License, Frontline SIA License and a 5 year checkable work history

 

About your new role:

Control Room

As a Control Room Operator covering the Control Room in Barnsley, your primary duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Monitoring and responding to CCTV systems
  • Provide a professional, efficient, and approachable security service whilst maintaining a high level of customer service to clients, staff and visitors at all times
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports which are sent to clients and managers in line with Doyle Security's Company Policy
  • Provide telephone and email support as required
  • Monitoring Staff Welfare via check call system
  • Assisting Resource Department with shift cover as required
  • Overseeing the Mobile Patrol and Response Team, completing alarm response reports and actions
  • Providing an out-of-hours telephone answering system for Doyle's staff & clients

Mobile Patrol and Response

  • Provide a professional, efficient, and approachable security service whilst maintaining a high level of customer service to clients, staff and visitors at all times
  • Complete detailed and accurate completion of all company and client documentation, which may be electronic
  • Provide support in an emergency or evacuation situation, in a calm and professional manner and actively provide information to any emergency services when requested to do so
  • Ensure the effective control and maintenance of keys (BS7499) and security equipment including any equipment e.g. phones, torches and electronic patrol systems
  • Complete foot and vehicle patrols to ensure a safe and secure environment, recording maintenance issues, potential breaches of security or unusual occurrences, in accordance with a client’s Assignment Instructions
  • Be a committed team player supporting colleagues across the patrol and response across the business, and be fully aware of the Company Health, Safety and Environmental systems, policies and procedures
  • Operate a company vehicle in accordance with the Highway Code and company policies

Skills & Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 5 years checkable employment history
  • Frontline SIA License
  • Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Email etc.)
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and bank holidays and occasionally at short notice
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • The ability to consistently provide the highest level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability to self-motivate and take the initiative when dealing with issues
  • First Aid
  • Full, valid driver’s license, own transport and scope to travel

Desirable skills:

  • Industry experience or previous Control Room & Mobile Patrol & Response experience
  • SIA CCTV License
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Timegate and Immix Systems

Security Officers – Barnsley, Sheffield & Rotherham

Due to continued success, we are currently recruiting Security Officers to work in and around the above areas.

We are looking to recruit a number of security officers to join our busy team of security professionals who look after our clients premises and property.

The duties of the role include static security guarding, monitoring and patrolling of our clients sites/premises, compiling reports and maintaining a high level of vigilance therefore.

Safety Stewards – Barnsley

We currently have part-time vacancies for matchday safety stewards at Barnsley Football Club and other events throughout the calendar year.

Rates of pay is £8.50 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • To take pride in your appearance and be immaculately presented at all times whilst on duty
  • Be very proactive and always seek the opportunity to provide extra assistance to customers
  • To be a friendly and approachable individual at all times to customers
  • Have the ability to communicate clearly and accurately with customers and fellow colleagues in a professional and polite manner at all times
  • Carry out pre-event and post-event checks of the venue
  • Monitor crowds to ensure an even flow of people entering/exiting the venue
  • Ticketing checking & directing patrons
  • Be a self-motivated individual who is comfortable with working in a varying range of different scenarios and working environments

Requirements:

  • You must be an outgoing individual with excellent communication skills

  • Have the ability to help the team carry out pre-event safety checks of the venue
  • Ensure an even flow of people entering the venue at all times
  • Be responsible for monitoring crowds for signs of overcrowding and difficulties in busy areas
  • Have the ability to defuse potential problem situations from escalating further
  • Be ready to respond to emergencies – by raising the alarm and providing necessary and appropriate immediate help and assisting the emergency services as required

Requirements:

  • You must hold an SIA Door Supervisor Licence to be considered for this role
  • You must be an outgoing individual with excellent communication skills
