Barnsley based, Doyle Security, has been awarded the contract for match day stewarding and on site security services at Barnsley FC, for a further two years, after supplying security services continually to the Oakwell ground for the past 16 years.
Andrew Nicholson managing director of Doyle Security says, ‘we are delighted to continue supporting our home town Club in ensuring supporters are kept safe and secure when visiting the ground.’
According to match day safety officer, Steve Bailey, ‘the safety of every person at the club on a match day is of primary importance to myself and my team. We’ve worked exceedingly hard on securing the ground and putting plans in place for everybody’
As Andrew Nicholson says, ‘we continue to respond to the many challenges facing crowd safety in today’s environment. All our staff are fully trained to accredited national standards and have many years’ experience in public safety.
‘As a company, we also fully adhere to the government’s ‘green guide’, widely recognised throughout the world as the pre-eminent reference on stadia safety. Our priority is to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all those who visit Oakwell on a match day. This includes spectators, players, as well officials and visitors’
He continued, ‘in addition to general crowd control such as spectator stewarding, monitoring and ticket checking, we also provide a pro-active safety management system to Barnsley FC in providing immediate response to any emergency or ground safety risk.’
